Holiday Shopping for the Pet Who Has Everything

With the holiday here, we're busy shopping for the four-legged members of our family, but what do you get for the dog or cat who has everything?

Well first things first...winter weather is officially here! Did you get some December snow like we did here in Ferndale? As temperatures drop, some dogs do need a little help keeping warm. Just like you put on your hat and gloves when temperatures dip, your dog might also benefit from those extra layers when he's out and about. Naturally short-haired dogs, such as Greyhounds, Vizslas, and English Bulldogs, will always benefit from a coat. Also, frail senior dogs and those with health issues would also be good candidates for coats and sweaters.

Baydog Glacier Dog Coat

Check out our best-selling Alpine Extreme Weather Puffer Coat. This is a great, cost effective option to keep your best friend warm, as well as making him more visible on those darker days and nights. We also have Alpine coats available in other fun colors. Another stylish, practical option is the Ocean Blue Glacier Bay Dog Coat by US veteran-owned company, BAYDOG. This coat is super easy to put on and take off, and features adjustable Velcro girth panels making it easy to achieve a perfect fit. When it’s not raining or you just want to provide another layer of warmth indoors, we have our own top quality line of sweaters. Be sure and check out our stylish Tilly Sweater Collection, named after our precious Pittie Mix, Tilly.

Another great gift is a cozy bed, and winter is the perfect time to revamp your best friend’s sleeping spot. The Bowser Driftwood Linen Donut Dog Bed is a great quality dog bed from Canada that dogs love to curl up in. We offer it in a variety of sizes to fit all kinds of breeds, and we even offer free shipping on beds, which makes this a great gift to give!

Another drawback to the weather turning cold is the additional time spent indoors. To keep your dog active when the weather is crummy, or during the holiday season when entertaining guests, we have a wide variety of  interactive food and puzzle toys. Be sure and check out the interactive, durable and fun toys by West Paw. Designed and manufactured in Bozeman, Montana, West Paw has some great eco-friendly options, constructed from recycled materials. Qwizl is on our top 10 of interactive toys, built especially for tough chewers! Another favorite is Toppl. Available in two sizes, you can buy both of them and snap them together to give your dog even more of a challenge. This topsy turvy treat dispensing toy features soft rounded inner teeth with a contoured cavity that will hold your dog's favorite food or treats.

Looking for some goodies to stuff your dog's stocking? Yes, we've got those! Choose some yummy freeze-dried salmon treats made locally by Fat-Cat Fish, or for a longer chew, try Himalayan Pet Supply Bacon Flavored Churros. And let’s not forget the kitties too! This plush toy may look like a tasty sardine, but we promise it will be great for a cat on any diet. If you purchase one in our Ferndale UKUSCAdoggie store we will give you a free can of Evanger's Whole Sardines for Cats. If the cat in your life enjoys catnip, we recommend the Turtle Cat Toy which comes with catnip, which once it’s gone, can be refilled!
